Takezo Ramen - Clementi Mall

Trying out the newly opened Ramen restaurant in Clementi Mall Basement. Mr Piggy always has a very bad way of saying for these new restaurants:

"You must quickly go support when they are open, it would be gone before you know it!"

Very bad right...?!?!?! But indeed, it happens a lot. It is not as easy to survive with such bad economy time, unless you have super big backing, big brands, it is a challenge!

Ok, let's go into the food then. Mine is the Black one, which is so call extra rich with Garlic, his is the  Super Spicy and he add spicy level to 5. The Mr. blow looks plain and colourless right, don't get deceived by it..! It is so so so spicy! In the soup base when you scoop up, you can see tiny fragments of chilli pad! Sorry no pics to support.... Piggy was eat with tears in the eyes and sniffing bad.... haha... But he likes it..!

Mine came in with the super black looking soup base... but was tricked... the blackie stuffs is a layer of garlic oil floating, when stirred then it would mixed, if not soup base is still those milky type... Not at all special if you compare to Ichiran or Keisuke i mentioned before in my other posts. Thus it still has it's uniqueness, one of their side dishes has this fried ramen that you can eat as a cracker or soak in your soup or any other ways you like to have it. The rest of the side dishes are common stuffs but carries quite a good number to choose from.

I am not paid to write this up, it is just a personal experience. If you like to find out more, you can check them out yourselves at their FB link here: Takezo Ramen

Oh ya... i get this alot when i am having meals with this Piggy... but still, his presence is my contentment.

A-Day trip to JB - 5th Apr17

We went in around 3pm that afternoon, should correct it to 1/2 day trip...

Went KSL area for Bak Kut Teh, but sadly it was closed for on that day.... so had lunch at Sushi King, but it suck big time.... Went for a short grocery shopping and off we head towards Bukit Indah, had in mind for a short massage and dinner, little did we know after we explored Aeon, it was coming to 8pm. Still full from our late lunch, so we had A&W that was no longer found in our land....

Nevertheless, i enjoy the WE time together, sooth ourselves with the some how slow pace of this neighbor country, chit chat during the journey, enjoy the ride catching sunset and every single thing happening around us....

Though it is just a couple of hours there, it still feels kind of recharge from a short break! Throwing away work and stress temporary...

Treasure every moment together....

Lovely sunset capture along the way...

This looks like an egg surrounded by the fluffy whites

McDonald's Seoul Spicy Burger

Tried the newly launched burger recently.... i think is the commercial effect and someone told me the taste in fact is quite good... making me wanna give it a shot.

But here you see is the one and only photo i took... reason...

I had so much expectation... but after i unwrapped, the sauce was everywhere, practically on the wrapper, my hands, the bun... it is disaster! It is so messy that i can't even have any extra arm to picture it nicely for my blog... So much for the appearance...

Ok, let's move to the taste then... it has much sweetness in the sauce, coupled with lots of spiciness... perhaps i am not those who are really into kimchi... therefore not much liking in this taste... i would say a NO to a second chance...

But not to worry, i am still very willing to test out all other kinds of new burgers McDonald has to offer... truth is i had tried almost or all new burger McDonald ever launched... just that this is an experience that i have to mark down.

Please quicker let this Korean burger ends so that i can expect the next new launch...

Bottled Vitasoy

I really wish to document as much as i like, but given that human are lazy by nature or maybe just me... i haven't been updating regularly, giving excuses to cover up subconsciously, i SHOULD improve!

Starting with something simple... haha...

This bottle Vitasoy! Since young most of us should have been drinking the packet ones, me too... Cos when i was younger, Vitasoy serves in a larger pack compare to other healthy drinks and the value for money idea just swarm in, yah you are right i was being very stingy to myself then... So that day this fellow caught my eyes... on my hand was the packet drink, immediately seeing the bottled one, i can't resist changing. No idea why, but i must have it. Of cos it is exactly the same thing.... silly me right...

36th Birthday

Wow... i am old...! But... received lots of love from people all around me...!

Terence brought me the lovely cupcakes and bubble tea!

Mum and Dad came down to have sweet sweet desserts with me!

On the actual day, Mr Piggy brought us out for Japanese lunch.

In the evening, Ivy came down to have dinner with me and brought me a mint cake!

The boys in the shop still make effort to choose and buy me presents!

My mum home cooked mee sua and asked Dad to bring down for me! As Chinese tradition, mee sua with egg is eaten on your birth date to wish for longevity.

So much love is showered upon me! I felt flattered, thank you so much for making me feel special!

Many had mentioned that Diaso Blue soap is super good...  not that i had to get it because of this kinda anticipation, i just need something that can clean off this marks and dirt off my favorite pair of Wakai...

I tried with other detergents, maybe to my ignorant, it sinks after even i sun bath it! So this time, i need something to cleanse off the dirt, but not need soaked the whole shoe and make sure it don't sink. So there goes the experiment....

Batam - 16/Apr16- 17/Apr16 - Day 2

Day 2

We woke up early that day to look for breakfast, maybe too early till the shopping mall still sleeping. Only a few stalls are open while we strolled thru the mall. We mainly looking for breakfast, but after much search, Piggy suggested A&W...!?!?! WTF... 9.30am, breakfast with fried chicken and soda...!?!?! i must be crazy to agree... cos it is total lost in Singapore, i had to go with the idea. Btw, i didn't know that A&W don't serve breakie....

After which, we had a little shopping before we head back to hotel, pack up and had a shower before we checked out.

How can one not have a Magnum ice-cream when you are in Batam...!?!?! Snack before lunch... lol

The super emo mood swing kiddo even after 2 days of interactions.

After lunch, we head back to A&W to have the famous cokefloat and waffle! Thou i am filled till the throat, i still must have this, which women don't have a separate stomach for desserts...?

Ok, last of the pic before boarding... super waste time, nothing to do, no free wifi, no last min shopping (there is but just 1 shop that sell expensive local items inside the terminal, so not consider as shopping to me), nowhere to roam, plain waiting till boarding gate opens.

That's all folk, for my second visit to Batam.

Relax one...

Batam - 16/Apr16- 17/Apr16 - Day 1 (Part 2)

Dinner...!!!

We had massage and after which means dinner! We checked with the massage parlour for recommendation of seafood eatery that are not too far and served good food... they suggested Harbour Bay, and there we go. We googled it too, quite a number of reviews and sister-in-law did mentioned it before, so just try out.

When we reached, there are a whole row of seafood restaurants, and staffs are touting, hoping that we eat in their restaurant. Without any clues which is best, we just scout around and check if we like the place, haha... not exactly lah... we were checking if they have seats and which has the most customers! So by instinct, we just picked the one with big screen and look decent.

Pardon me for the poor quality of the pictures.... well...the food i should say if fine... Piggy and me dig into all the sumptuous food...! I must complement the Lala, crayfish and the fish itself, super fresh, the Lala is juicy, spicy and freshy. Crayfish is surprising not dry after stir-fried and coated with salted egg yolk. Fish, not my kind of thingy, but Piggy said was fresh and balanced well with its sauce.

We have vegetarian friends with us, therefore can't order to much. I would say it's a very satisfying meal with the really value for money seafood.
