Kim's Hokkien Mee (Eunos) - 13 Dec 2017

We would see this Hokkien Mee stall with catchy advertisement every time we drove by...! And finally one day we decided to try it out since we are round the corner looking for food!

Kim's Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee

Would not say parking is a difficult or easy chores, because the coffee shop that hold the stall is situated outside the landed property estate and at the junction of HDB flats, can't really find any public car park unless you willing to walk a little, cos across the street would be the HDB area. Definitely for my Mr. Piggy, if a vehicle that can do most of the distance, the least he can travel by foot, he will make it happens! We are lucky and found some lots outside the landed property and tadah...! Here we are!

Of cos i wouldn't see Kim wearing long sleeves with his golden Rolex frying the mee for us, don't know if it's a joke from the past or what.. found a few food blogger mentioning that. Well.... his infamous signage does still show that...!! Food was done by our "foreign talent", in fact i don't see any local workers, but i shouldn't criticize on that since almost all eateries, restaurants are facing the same man power issue. Main question is, is the food still as good as how it was reported.

Ok, verdict time! It's my first time there, so i won't know how's the taste is like as mentioned compared to the 60's. But my say, they are quite generous with the ingredients, i can hardly remember this is the $5 or $6 plate or more. The impression imprinted when i received this was "Wow... no bad huh... got so many sotongs and prawns!"  The bak you po (pork lard) was crispy and fragrance, the sambal chili is the key to whether it brings out the favor of the Mee...! I personally like those fried with more thick beehoon than yellow mee type and love it when it's wetter....! This stall doesn't doesn't really fit in to the wet wet type i like, but the thick beehoon proportion is acceptable range, the sambal chili does spice up the taste, overall i would say is a 4/5 rating, it passes!

However, Mr Piggy on the other hand doesn't like it at all and he can't even finish his plate... lol
By the way, i am not paid to write this review, i practically just want to keep it as a memory....!

ok. that's all folks.

Sony Conference - BKK - 24.05.17~26.05.17

The haven't wake up face! Cos he didn't sleep the whole night and it was only 4.30am when we check in to the airport!

We had light breakfast before the flight take off, but how can we miss the in flight breakfast!

Finally touched down, Mr Piggy feeling more energetic after the power nap on flight!

Once we reached Thailand, everything are arranged. All we need to do is just follow instructions! Day 1 mainly is to get rest and prepare for the next day conference. We reached the hotel before 12 noon, the rooms are not ready for check in yet, we could only laz around in the lobby till we decided to look for lunch!

These are not ours, sent wrongly!

After lunch all are well and we can go back to our room to rest. By the way, we were staying in SO Sofitel Bangkok, their rooms on different floors has different themes... ours is ocean if i am not mistaken. A small room tour pics below to share.

We collected our attires for tomorrow, just like the previous years, they would like us to wear uniform tops. Have to say quite good material and design is simple but unique!

We washed up and took a short nap, after being recharged, i pulled Mr Piggy out for a snap short shopping spreed at Platinum Mall. No pics here cos it's a very very very rush shopping spreed! No pics of loots either, cos only given 2hrs of shopping time and we had to head out to another location for dinner arranged by our kind Play Inc! Dinner by the river bank.
Took river taxi to the other side of the bank for convenience of taking taxi back to hotel.

Day 2 - Dealer's Conference
Woke up early for breakfast before the conference starts. The hotel breakfast spread is really good!
Short break for lunch, but was still full from breakfast... so free time do what...?
Selfie...!
Me with Sakuraba-san

Yup... We came in 2nd in best sale for Singapore category

After conference, dinner was arranged at another location, so all of us went back to our room rest abit and prepare for that night feast!

Day 3 -  Last day and time to go home
The guys had 2nd round after that dinner, so all of them skipped breakfast, now last minute looking for food before we head to airport.

I was roaming around while the guys taking their lunch, i explored a small market place or eatery round the corner. Quite a lot of varieties and packed with the locals too...!
The braised pork organ looks good...!

On the mini bus heading to airport.

We didn't spend much for this trip as a lot of things are covered, end up we still left quite a fair bit of Thai baht, we finished them all in the airport instead!

 Our steel bird home!

This is the last pic of us before we landed in Singapore and return to reality! It's a great 3 day 2 night short getaway for us!
