36th Birthday

Wow... i am old...! But... received lots of love from people all around me...!

Terence brought me the lovely cupcakes and bubble tea!

Mum and Dad came down to have sweet sweet desserts with me!

On the actual day, Mr Piggy brought us out for Japanese lunch.

In the evening, Ivy came down to have dinner with me and brought me a mint cake!

The boys in the shop still make effort to choose and buy me presents!

My mum home cooked mee sua and asked Dad to bring down for me! As Chinese tradition, mee sua with egg is eaten on your birth date to wish for longevity.

So much love is showered upon me! I felt flattered, thank you so much for making me feel special!

DIASO BLUE STICK SOAP

Many had mentioned that Diaso Blue soap is super good...  not that i had to get it because of this kinda anticipation, i just need something that can clean off this marks and dirt off my favorite pair of Wakai...

I tried with other detergents, maybe to my ignorant, it sinks after even i sun bath it! So this time, i need something to cleanse off the dirt, but not need soaked the whole shoe and make sure it don't sink. So there goes the experiment....

Batam - 16/Apr16- 17/Apr16 - Day 2

Day 2

We woke up early that day to look for breakfast, maybe too early till the shopping mall still sleeping. Only a few stalls are open while we strolled thru the mall. We mainly looking for breakfast, but after much search, Piggy suggested A&W...!?!?! WTF... 9.30am, breakfast with fried chicken and soda...!?!?! i must be crazy to agree... cos it is total lost in Singapore, i had to go with the idea. Btw, i didn't know that A&W don't serve breakie....

After which, we had a little shopping before we head back to hotel, pack up and had a shower before we checked out.

How can one not have a Magnum ice-cream when you are in Batam...!?!?! Snack before lunch... lol

The super emo mood swing kiddo even after 2 days of interactions.

After lunch, we head back to A&W to have the famous cokefloat and waffle! Thou i am filled till the throat, i still must have this, which women don't have a separate stomach for desserts...?

Ok, last of the pic before boarding... super waste time, nothing to do, no free wifi, no last min shopping (there is but just 1 shop that sell expensive local items inside the terminal, so not consider as shopping to me), nowhere to roam, plain waiting till boarding gate opens.

That's all folk, for my second visit to Batam.

Relax one...

Batam - 16/Apr16- 17/Apr16 - Day 1 (Part 2)

Dinner...!!!

We had massage and after which means dinner! We checked with the massage parlour for recommendation of seafood eatery that are not too far and served good food... they suggested Harbour Bay, and there we go. We googled it too, quite a number of reviews and sister-in-law did mentioned it before, so just try out.

When we reached, there are a whole row of seafood restaurants, and staffs are touting, hoping that we eat in their restaurant. Without any clues which is best, we just scout around and check if we like the place, haha... not exactly lah... we were checking if they have seats and which has the most customers! So by instinct, we just picked the one with big screen and look decent.

Pardon me for the poor quality of the pictures.... well...the food i should say if fine... Piggy and me dig into all the sumptuous food...! I must complement the Lala, crayfish and the fish itself, super fresh, the Lala is juicy, spicy and freshy. Crayfish is surprising not dry after stir-fried and coated with salted egg yolk. Fish, not my kind of thingy, but Piggy said was fresh and balanced well with its sauce.

We have vegetarian friends with us, therefore can't order to much. I would say it's a very satisfying meal with the really value for money seafood.

Batam - 16/Apr16- 17/Apr16 - Day 1 (Part 1)

Batam on a weekend! Short short get away..... super shiok! We didn't book the earliest ride like my last trip, if not 7 early 8 early must be at the harbor liao. Our ferry is around 8ish, so only need to reach an hour earlier, the ride plus waiting is about 1 hour 30min, so by the time we reached ans clear custom is not even 10am Batam time..! Batam is 1 hour behind us, so we still have some time to lepak, jave tea break, walk around before check-in to hotel .

Us at Harbour Front Boarding Area

Shy gal refused to take picture with us.

For this precious picture, double chin kana captured also must sacrifice.

On ferry loh....

Disembark

Reach a little early, all shop still not opened yet, so tea break...

Cooling off the heat at the lobby with usage of the free wifi.... heavenly....

Our lodging for the night, great hotel i should say! Big, clean, convenient!

My man die die also must try the indo mee to make sure is the kind he wants!

View from our window... got the Hollywood feel not..?

Out we go looking for lunch!

Super rich soya milk with ice-cream topping!

This is one of the recommended vegetarian restaurant by online source, indeed it lives up to it's standard. Nice ambiance and great food! Location is not too difficult to find too, at least the taxi driver knew where it is.

This handsome saw me taking picture of his stall, he quickly come out to pose for us!

After this we went to the temple, it is really near like 10 min walk, but in Batam nobody walks by the road side except us. Their means of transport is at least a motorbike, so it made us very vulnerable and exposed, so it is a little unsafe to walk by the roadside that has no pavement (not designed to walk).

Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Monastery
天恩弥勒佛院

That's the name of the monastery we visited and that's the only picture i have and was not taken by me...!?!?! WTF
But at least we are see all of them are happily smiling!
